Dec 22, 2023
In early November 2023, the team was delighted to hear they had been shortlisted for the Charity of The Year award at the 14th annual Luton & Bedfordshire Community Awards organized by Community Interest Luton.
The Luton and Bedfordshire Awards are an annual ceremony celebrating the unsung heroes of the diverse and multicultural community and recognizing those who seek to make the lives of others easier, happier, and more fulfilled. The awards bring together bring together a diverse array of community projects, each contributing to the well-being and development of the local area, from environmental sustainability projects to educational initiatives.
The awards ceremony itself is a celebration of community spirit, where like-minded individuals come together to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. It provides a platform for networking and collaboration, fostering an environment where new ideas can flourish and partnerships can be formed. We were delighted to send our Practice Manager, Kelly, and Therapy Support Assistant, Elaine, along to represent Caraline.
The Charity of The Year Award which was sponsored by Pictons Solicitors and Putteridge High School was to be awarded to a charity whos exceptional efforts have made a discernible difference. The whole team were absolutely delighted to be nominated alongside two other amazing charities – Noah Enterprise and Social Interest Group – Penrose Options. This in itself was a massive achievement however we are delighted to announce Caraline were joint winners alongside the team at Penrose. This is an absolutely amazing achievement.
The awards didn’t end there however. At the end of the evening it was announced there was a Winner of Winners award sponsored by Luton Rising which was to go to the overall winner of all of those who walked away with an award that evening. We are again delighted to announce that Caraline were crowned the Winner of Winners. This was truly unexpected and we would like to express our gratitude to the judges on the panel. We would also like to thank Aimee and the team at Community Interest for putting on such an amazing event.
